3. How we share information

Solar installers

The core purpose of submitting the form is to be matched with a solar installer. We share the information you provide with one or more independent local solar installers (currently a single installer) so they can prepare a quote and contact you. These installers are not our agents; they are independent businesses, and their use of your information is governed by their own privacy practices.

Service providers (processors)

We use the following third-party services to operate the Site. These providers process information on our behalf, under contractual confidentiality and security obligations, and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes:

Legal and safety

We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or court order, or where we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect rights, property, or safety.

Business transfers

If Home Efficient is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you (e.g., via the Site) before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

8. State-specific privacy rights

Florida residents (FDBR)

Under the Florida Digital Bill of Rights, Florida residents have the rights to confirm processing, access, correct, delete, obtain a portable copy, and opt out of targeted advertising, the sale of personal data, or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects. Email privacy@homeefficient.energy to exercise these rights. We do not knowingly sell or share Florida residents' information for cross-context behavioral advertising other than as disclosed in Section 4 (Meta Pixel). You may appeal a denial of your request by replying to our response email; we will respond within the period required by law.

California residents (CCPA / CPRA)

California residents have rights to know, delete, correct, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information as those terms are defined under California law. The categories of personal information collected in the past 12 months are described in Section 1. We disclose this information to the recipients listed in Section 3 for the business purposes described there. Operating the Meta Pixel may constitute "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising under CPRA; you can opt out by emailing privacy@homeefficient.energy with the subject line "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information." We do not knowingly sell or share personal information of consumers under 16. We do not use sensitive personal information for purposes that would trigger the right to limit. You may also designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf.

Residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws (including Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, and others) have the rights to access, correct, delete, port, and opt out of targeted advertising or profiling.
